The Historic Orpheum is in the heart of Minneapolis’s theater district, located adjacent to the Pantages Theater and the State Theater. It originally opened as the Hennepin Theater in 1921. At that time is presented live vaudeville acts. In its early years it drew such performers as the Marx Brothers, Jack Benny, Burns & Allen, and Fanny Brice. In the late twenties, the popularity of vaudeville acts declined and the Orpheum became home of Minneapolis’s cinema scene. The Historic Orpheum was renovated and restored in the 1990s. The theater was restored to match its original appearance.

This venue is great! I saw Death Cab for Cutie play there on June 2nd and the atmosphere was amazing. The interior detail brings new elements to the experience. Absolutely loved it.
