For the second year in a row, True Thai has received the City Pages award for the best Thai restaurant in the Twin Cities. Yet this highly sought after accolade is but one of the many recognitions that True Thai received this year. They also were voted best Thai restaurant in the Twin Cities by Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine and by City Search.
Twincities.org could not agree more. This staple of the personable Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis consistently serves up the most exceptional Thai food in the cities. There is no way to go wrong with their extensive menu. And, since with most dishes, the diner gets to choose their accompanying protein (whether it be chicken, beef, tofu, mock duck, shrimp, or pork, just to name a few) it is great for everyone, from vegans to meat lovers.
The menu is a sweeping portrait of Thai cuisine and continually features new dishes. Appetizers include the classic fresh Thai spring rolls, which are served with a mind-numblingly delicious peanut vinaigrette sauce. There are a multitude of soups, salads, curries, wok-fried dishes, noodles and fried rice to delight any palette. The highly acclaimed True Thai Pad Thai well deserves its fame. This noodle dish feels hearty in your belly, yet delicate and complex in your mouth.
True Thai also has a great beer and wine selection. They offer six different Bell’s beers by the bottle (that’s right six). True Thai also offers Thai coffee and Thai lemonade.
