After a few pints, you’ll swear you’re in Dublin. The Local Irish Pub is one of the most authentic pubs in the upper Midwest. Located on the highly trafficked Nicollet Mall in Downtown Minneapolis, The Local is a hot spot for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and football games (no, not the Vikings, soccer!). Sit down with friends and enjoy a pint of classic Guinness or a Finnegan’s Amber in one of the unique areas of the pub. Sip Jameson in the Whiskey Lounge, grab a seat at The Palace for a pint as tall as the floor to ceiling Irish woodwork, relax in the Fireside Lounge or Sanctuary, and if you just have too many friends for one table, The Hollow is a private space that can be rented for parties and large groups. The Choir, or upstairs, has billiards tables and more seating that overlooks the space below.

The Local also features a menu stacked with traditional Irish food. Imported Irish fish and chips are perfect with a pint of Guinness, and if you prefer something a bit more classic, the Shepherd’s Pie is packed with enough Irish flavors to give you good luck for a week. The Local also has a signature Irish coffee that is sure to wake you up. Homemade brown sugar and Guinness reduction syrup and Jameson, too bad these can’t be made to go!

I don't know about their whiskey, but their burgers are delicious!
